Here are my top tips:

1. Wear something that makes you happy, confident and comfortable.
I want you to be as relaxed as you can be in your photo shoot. The first step is to choose clothing that is comfortable, that makes you feel confident and smile your biggest. Its my most important tip, if nothing else, be comfy.

2. Avoid bright colours, and loud prints.
More often than not, a bright colour or a loud print is going to clash with your surroundings. It can also reflect unwanted lighting into your skin and is very hard to correct.
Try and lean towards neutrals or softer colours (side note: I consider denim to be a neutral). Feel free to play with textures (a chunky knit is always gorgeous) and think about movement (long dresses or skirts can add a fun flourish).

3. Dress alike, but not the same.
You might be all the same family, but I know you've got your own personalities! Show it!

I myself am also very shy in front of the camera (which is obviously why I have made a career out of being behind it!). I love taking those candid shots of you and your loved ones, and in order to do that, Its very important that you feel as comfortable as you can be. Maybe it means we have a cuppa and a yummy treat before we start to calm the nerves, or maybe it means we choose a location that makes you feel right at home, or maybe you wear your favourite outfit.

I am based in the rural town of Coonabarabran in NSW, Australia. So if you live within 30 minutes of Coona, then I'll come to you for free!

I get it though... not everyone can live in lovely Coonabarabran. And lucky for you I love to travel. It doesn't matter if you want me to come just down the road or 15hrs away, I will be there with bells on. Travel fees do apply, but don't worry, I'm thrifty and love to find the cheapest/most efficient way to get to you.

No worries! Let's take them someplace fun where they can run and play. I find it's so much easier to be lead by whatever the kids are doing, It means they have fun and theres usually no tantrums for you to deal with (can't make any promises though!).

I often find that doing an activity together with kids can also be very helpful in organising the chaos. We could take a picnic with some of their favourite snacks, blow some bubbles, or go fishing by the river. A photo shoot can be anything you'd like, it doesn't need to be something formal, it can just be a fun activity that I tag along for!
